It Just Keeps On Gettin' Better

The weather in Massachusetts these past few days has been incredible. The high temperature hit today was in the mid seventies! The awesome weather started on Tuesday, and the temperatures have just been rising. Unfortunately, tomorrow is going to be in the fifties, which is a disappointment. Normally, in march I would be pleased with fifty degrees, but not after having seventy. Today I spent all day outside on the trampoline, the swing set, and walking around on the street with my neighbors. While we played dodge ball, my brother made it a point to hit me in the face. With a large exercise ball. Yeah, he's really nice. Luckily for me, I won't be suffering with him for too long, because Monday is off to St. Thomas without my brother, and with the warmth for me!
Wishing you warmth,
Isabel

Vanishing Act

Disclaimer:Once you read this entry, my title with seem quite clever.
Just a few minutes ago, I finished the book, 'Vanishing Act' by John Feinstein.
In short, it's about to teenage aspiring reporters who go to cover the U.S. Open (a major tennis event)but find themselves wraped up in the mystery of the dissapearance of a beautiful, and famous, tennis star. This book is the sequel to 'Last Shot'. I have not yet read 'Last Shot', and I had previously read 'Vanishing Act' in the fourth grade. That, however, is not the piont of this. The piont, is that today, I have come to the realization that when I pick up a book, it vanishes. The second I start to read, it seems I am done. (Now are you getting the clever play-on-words here?) Earlier this year, I had lost my love for reading, but now we are back on strong. It was as if I had forgotten that I loved reading. I just hadn't been able to find a book that caught my interst, but now I certainly have.

Arguments

I am a teenager, I will admit to that. Yet, I am told that the world does not revolve around me. I beg to differ. (Definition of differ: to disagree in opinion, belief, etc.; be at variance; disagree (often fol. by with or from): His business partner always differs with him. I never knew that.) By that, I mean that I do not think that the world revolves around me, and I don't understand why anyone would think that I think that. Apparently, I have a witty response to any comment that comes my way. Without meaning to, I "talk back, and show no respect". Hmm...I don't believe that I act that way towards everyone, just one person. *caughmothercaugh* I do imagine that if she was to read this (which I'm sure she will) I will again be talked to. The reason that I am being so daring is that the world needs to know. By the world, I mean the two or three people that may happen to glance at my blog.
Most Respectfully,
Isabel

Summer in March?

Today, I took a quick bike ride with my brother to go see the extreme flooding on a road near my house(this first sentence sort of clashes with the title). I realized while I was riding that it was super-duper warm! Like so warm that I took my sweatshirt off and just wore my tank-top. It was incredible, litterally. When I got home, I changed into shorts, and went onto my trampoline. Now, I will remind you all that here, in Massachusetts, in March, it is usually cold, bitter, snow-free and sun-free. So today was quite a pleasant suprise.
When I went over to my friends house, we spent the whole day outside, and there were bees. BEES! In March! I don't think that I've ever seen that before. Maybe in April, but deffinitely not in March. To make it better, its going to be in the high fifties and low sixties until Monday! And by that time I will be on my plane to St. Thomas, so its all good there.
Go outside and get some fresh air!

Valentine's Day :)

I'm going to see Valentine's Day for the second time today. By that I mean I've already seen it, but not today. It's such a cute movie, I love it. It's kinda akward though.
In six days I'm going to St. Thomas! I'm sooooo excited. I need warm weather! I also need the teensy bit of color I might be able to get, because I look like a ghost right now. Ah well, I'll probably just get a sun-burn. I always get a sinburn, even if I'm just swimming for an hour in my poolin the summer. (I don't live close to the equator, I live in New England.) Well, I have to go take a shower now, and get ready for the movies, so I'll write more later today or tomorrow.

Rain and Why I Hate It

If you live in the area that I do, you also prbably experienced terrible rainstorms. Flooded basements, power outages, the whole shabang. The rain started Saturday at around 5 P.M. and didn't stop until late Monday night. All the roads were (and still are) flooded to the point where they are unpassable. Yesterday I was late for my tennis practice because we had to try several different routes. Finally we made it. The public school in my town doesn't even have school because the busses can't drive on them safely.
Last night, I went to a book club meeting. It was really fun, even though I hadn't expected it to be. Unfortunately, the next book we are supposed to read is Pride & Prejudice, which I am not looking forward to. I don't do well with the old english books.
Today my Dad is leaving for Norway, because he is doing a cross-country ski marathon there. Not something that I enjoy, but he really likes it. Not just doing it, but everything about it. During the olympics, he watched all the cross-country ski races, which in my opinion is extremely boring.
Happy Rain Free Day!

Now I'm Confused

I was just editing the looks of my blog, and I realized that it looked like i posted at 5 A.M. Wrong, wrong, wrong! It was probably 9 A.M. Now it's 9:20, so we will see what the time says.

Daylight Savings

daylight saving feels about the same as a time change, only weirder because I didn't leave my house to go to another country at two in the morning. I would say that I am less affected by time changes when I go far away than when I stay home. Like this summer, when I went to Sweden (8 hour time-change), I wasn't really bothered by the time difference, but when I'm at home, man does it get to me!
On another note:
Normally I would be at school, in math class right now, but instead I'm at home on this blog because I'm on vacation. I'm really mad at myself, because I wanted to sleep in , but I can't. I wake up at 8:30 when I don't have my alarm clock set! I suppose this is better than the 6:30 time I have to wake up for school.
Well, Happy Vacation to anyone who's on it, and Happy Schooling to anyone who's not.

Vacation :)

Finally Vacation!
Do you ever get that feeling where you reallllly need a break? That was deffinitely hapening to me :(
The other day I had an extremely depressing thought...
I'm in Seventh Grade, work is only going to get harder from here. After I finish college, I have to get a job, and take care of my own kids. Then I get to retire, and then I die.
Isn't that a happy thought?
So this monday I have a book club meeting with some people from my town. We read the book "Small Steps" by Louis Sachar (I believe that's how you spell his name.) It's a continuation of the book "Holes". It was pretty good, not the best book, but not terrible. On the theme of books, I just read the "Percy Jackson and the Olympians" series, and I thought it was amazing. Probably some of the best books I've read in a while. One of my favorite series, along with Harry Potter, Twilight, and The Mysterious Benedict Society.
Well, I'll try to write on this blog, but we'll see if that really happens.

First Blog...Gulp

Well, here it goes.

I have Jennelle to blame for this.

I really have no idea what to write about. What am I supposed to write about?
